Front Range Rescue Dogs is Hosting a Multi-Discipline SAR Dog Training Weekend Featuring Trainer Cris Goodhue

September 26, 27, 28th 2008 – Boulder , Colorado

This multi day seminar is for dog teams of any level and will be held at the beautiful Cal-Wood Education Center in the mountains West of Boulder Colorado .  Chris Goodhue has been training dogs for over 25 years and has an unending passion for training dogs and for helping handlers achieve their SAR training goals.. She has certified her dogs in trailing, air scent, cadaver, HRD, water, evidence, avalanche, disaster and narcotics.  Over the past 7 years she has taught search and rescue seminars throughout the western United States; assisting numerous dog teams in training and certifying their own dogs.

Cris’s training will include scenario problems, promoting team work and thinking for real world situations. Participants will be video-taped as they work with the instructors. The tapes will be reviewed and discussed by the group. If you choose to attend this seminar, be prepared to work, as you will be working your dog all day long, or until you decide you’ve had enough.

We will have a mixture of classroom, individual and small group instruction and field problems.  The seminar will truly be multi-discipline with an itinerary that will offer Airscent, Trailing and HRD problems.  We will also have a wide variety of presentations and exercises for dog teams and handler specific skills like night navigation. There will be plenty of opportunity to work your dog with new people, share your experience, and gain from the experience of others.

Instructors:  Cris Goodhue (High Country K9, NPCA, Elkhorn SAR), Ann Wichmann (COTF1, FRRD), many talented FRRD members will also be helping out

Cost: $350 all inclusive, this includes training, instructors, lodging and meals
